Nicole Hensley

Originally from the Seattle area, Nicole migrated over to Eastern
Washington to further her education at the Edward R. Murrow School of
Communication at Washington State University. Since then her career
has been directed toward absorbing all forms of media.
Everything from traditional to new incorporating television through
production at KREM 2, radio at KYRS, Thin Air Community Radio and
maintaining an online presence through social networking and blogging.
Though her years in Spokane have been few, she has enjoyed getting to
know the culture and people of the Inland Northwest. On the side she
enjoys the finer things in life such as bicycling and road trips
 through the Palouse.

Mark Simonds

Mark Simonds has been working with the web for the better part of two decades! He has seen it evolve from pages that were very basic (and hideous by todays' standards) to dynamic and social applications. Mark is well versed in many web technologies and will happily geek out about the latest trends.

In 2009, after "getting" some time off, Mark took a cross-country road-trip and conducted interviews with different people and companies using Twitter. It was an unforgettable experience for him; one that he hopes to duplicate in 2010. Check out his interviews at Twitter Road Trip (http://twitterroadtrip.com) and read tweets from his travels on Twitter (http://twitter.com/route140).

Mark is a lifelong Spokane resident. He realizes that the Spokane area tends to lag behind other cities in the US when it comes to social media adoption; but Mark thinks it has the potential for amazing things. You can find Mark Simonds on just about every popular social media platform. Some of his current favorites are Twitter and Foursquare.

Mark is excited to be doing a show about social media with co-host Nicole Hensley. "I think we are going to have a lot of fun doing this show. We are going to try to be a resource for learning how to use many of the platforms out there as well as highlighting cool things we are seeing happen in our community".
